About the ProPhoto Designer Network

(Details of this program are subject to change, so check back often for updates)

One of the main advantages of the ProPhoto theme is it’s flexibility for creating saved designs. Many of ProPhoto users aren’t designers, though, and may not have graphic design skills or resources to fully utilize all that ProPhoto has to offer. We are often asked by our customers for more ‘starter design’ options, and for names of designers that they can pay to help them customize their sites. So, we’ve created a design store on our site which helps meet the needs of users, and provides freelance designers a vibrant marketplace to utilize their talents. (and be paid for their effort, of course)

Since its launch in October of 2010, the success of the ProPhoto design store has exceeded our expectations, and its popularity has continued to grow.  Between our customers, the designers involved, and our own vested interest in seeing ProPhoto do well, it truly is a win-win-win.

So what is the ProPhoto designer network?

There are well over 40,000 users using ProPhoto to create unique, eye-catching sites for all sorts of businesses. We provide a high-traffic site where you can sell ProPhoto designs that you create and export, using options built right into the ProPhoto theme. Export and submit your design to us, along with any associated PSD ‘source’ graphics files, and instructions for end-users to follow. If your design is approved, it will be added to the store and be available for purchase for as long as you leave it active. Alternatively, you can choose to sell a “limited edition” design at a higher price point, and we facilitate selling your design in limited quantity – for example only 20 copies may be sold through the store.

Also, we handle all of the transaction non-sense for your sales. Can you say “passive income”? We’ve seen moderately-priced (and still available) designs sell over 200 copies in a year, and even seen higher-priced ‘limited’ designs sell out in a weekend.

So let’s talk details…

What about the $$$?

You determine the price for your design (although we may coach you a bit if we think your pricing is off the wall). We will take 30% or $5 of each transaction (whichever is more). So, if you sell your design for $50, you will make $35 for each sale. Sell it for $75, you will make $52.50 for each sale. We will keep detailed records of your sales, and issue PayPal payments of your acquired funds once per month.

How to join the ProPhoto Designer Network

If we have contacted you regarding submitting a design, then you have already been added to ProPhoto designer network, and we are looking for you to submit something similar to the work you have already shown us. If you haven’t been contacted by us directly but are interested, you will need to contact us and give us references of ProPhoto designs or other design work you have done.

If we think you are a good fit for our designer network, we will provide instructions on submitting ProPhoto designs to be sold on our site. Once your designs have been accepted, we’ll handle getting your design on our store, handle all of the transactions, and handle sending your payments :)
